Guys, Dave Brubeck is dead. And I'm sitting here at work trying not to cry in front of the whole office.

I saw him perform live last year. The concert tickets had been a Christmas present. It was amazing. HE was amazing. And now he's gone.

I hope he and Mozart are having a contest to see which one's better - "Blue Rondo" or "Rondo alla Turca".

So it's 102 degrees yesterday and today, so of course our power went out last night - most of our block, I think; a transformer blew (damn you, Optimus Prime!) around 10:30pm and we didn't get power back until about 3:30 this afternoon.
